Tips
ISO
Base ISO is 64, not 100 — stay there for maximum dynamic range. Under "ISO Auto" you can set maximum sensitivity and longest shutter speed separately; "Auto" links minimum speed to focal length. In M mode there's also 1/6 EV fine adjustment.
Aperture
Aperture value is controlled electronically, nearly silent with S-lenses. Diffraction correction (Photo menu) is active by default and visibly rescues f/16–f/22.
The Nikon Z8 features in-body image stabilization (IBIS), which helps you shoot handheld in low-light conditions without camera shake. This is especially useful for capturing sharp images at slower shutter speeds.
